Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
These terms cover your use of the Mittord app. By using Mittord, you agree to them.
The app
Mittord is a personal vocabulary app. You add words, and Mittord translates them, generates example sentences, and schedules your reviews. It's provided for personal, non-commercial use.
Acceptable use
Use Mittord as intended: to build and review your own vocabulary. Don't attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the translation and sentence-generation services behind the app, and don't use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, including abuse of the translation or sentence-generation services.
Your content
The words, translations, notes, and sources you save in Mittord are yours. Mittord doesn't claim ownership over them. You're responsible for the content you choose to save.
Free and Pro tiers
Mittord is free to use, with limits on dictionary size, sources, and daily AI usage as described in the app. Mittord Pro removes those limits for a recurring subscription fee, billed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled, and are managed entirely through your Apple ID account settings — Mittord does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds; refund requests go through Apple.
No warranty
Mittord is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Translation and example-sentence quality depend on third-party services and won't always be perfect. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mittord is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Sweden, except that if you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
Dispute Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@mittord.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve the dispute with you in good faith. If the dispute is not resolved within 60 days, either party may pursue the matter through the courts identified in the Governing Law section above.
